Today Cory Booker raced to the aid of a fifty year old man who had been hit by a car and severely wounded. He tweeted from the scene about the events and some would even say he tooted his own horn a bit in the process. The truth of the matter was the police were already on the scene and paramedics were on the way.
Yet, Booker triumphantly made an appearance and in a cinematic sound bite chronicled in the Huffington Post, the 50 year old man reportedly said, “Mayor Booker? Is that you?” Give ME A BREAK!
One has to wonder if this is a matter of heroism or good ole “politicking”. What was the nature of the “aid” Newark’s Superman provided? Water and ice. He went into the trenches and emerged unscathed with water & ice. *Face Palm*
Good will shouldn’t have to be splashed on every newspaper & accompanied by a photo op.
Would he be as invested if he weren’t mayor? To what lengths will politicians go to ensure a vote? Second degree burns maybe?

Interesting. I have curiousity regarding Mr. Booker and his approach to managing Newark including his real presence, activism and accessibility. Currently I follow him one twitter and am honestly impressed with the touch ability his has with his constituents. I never considered the consequences and/or takeaways from this activity of his in the manner presented here. Interesting…
